Really liked living here

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2009
I lived in the Crossing Place for two years and I enjoyed it very much. I got the "A" bedroom which is the largest in the apartment (also had the largest bathroom)). I DID have to pay a $15/month premium over everyone else I lived with but it was well worth it. I had room for my bed, desk, 2 bookcases, synthesizer keyboard, and even a La-Z-Boy recliner! Definitely money well spent.
PROS:
-Nice sized rooms, even for the other people without the "A" bedroom
-Modern appliances in kitchen (fridge and microwave included), though our icemaker never worked.
-Water, internet, and cable TV ALL INCLUDED
-Washer and Dryer in the room
-Apartment comes fully furnished with pretty new and decent furniture: Couch, comfy chair, coffee table, end table, TV stand in living room; bed mattress, desk, chest of drawers, end table in each bedroom.
-Low cost: only around $400/month electricity and heat (about $25-40/month per person)
-Tons of parking. Forget jockeying for spots outside.
-Pool, hot tub, and grills behind the office. Although the pool always seemed a little sketchy...
CONS:
-It's really far from campus. This wasn't a big deal for me, as they provide you with a CATA pass each semester, and I scheduled my classes so I only had to go to campus MWF. The bus runs late Thurs, Fri, and Sat nights to take you to and from the bar. Very nice to not have to drive.
-Really thin walls so it can be noisy if you're trying to sleep and your roommates are making noise in the kitchen/living room. On the plus side, only the A room shares a wall with the neighbors' room, so if you live in the A room, hope that your neighbor in the A room isn't too loud (mine wasn't)
-Stuff broke a lot. Our water heater crapped out twice, our faucet was kind of leaky when we moved in, etc. But the maintenance staff was GREAT and fixed things within a day.
-Pets are allowed. Some may see this as a 'pro' but seeing I didn't have a dog or cat, it just meant I had to deal with dodging poop that the idiot dog-owners didn't pick up and listen to the dog downstairs barking all day.
Overall, a nice place to live.
