Worst place to live, RUN AWAY

Just throwing this out there, I don't even LIVE in Hidden Tree, I am just a frequent visitor; my best friends live in Hiddentree, and it's so awful that even I feel inclined to write a review.
When first moving in, hidden tree seemed nice. The apartment had new carpet and had just been painted. As time went on, however, we realized what a dump this place actually is. Everything in the kitchen is outdated and has simply been painted over in a sad attempt to look remodeled. The master bedroom has a shower that is about the size of a hexagon tanner, and the door handle is falling off the bathroom.
The main hallway that all 4 apartments share is a trash heap, with maintenance failing to do such basic things as vacuuming for weeks at a time. The door to enter the building has been knocked around so many times that there is a hole in the wall form the doorknob and the door itself is literally splitting down the middle/warping. The paint is peeling off of the door as well as the frame and it looks like a trashy disaster. In one building in the complex, all the lights are burned out in the hallway so that when it's night time you can barely see to walk up the stairs.
The sound problem depends on who lives near to you and changes frequently when people move in and out. We have been ticketed for a noise violation before, so be warned if you think you want to live in this hell hole just to throw parties. There is a family of four who live across the hallway, and they make disgusting smelly food every day. The couple also frequently fight and scream at eachother, and their kids are loud and irritating.
The sliding glass door in the living room is a complete cluster ----. The window spans across the entire wall with only one heat vent to warm up the room. The thermostat is also conveniently located in this room, so the furnace is CONSTANTLY running in attempt to heat up the living room while making the rest of the apartment (particularly the bathroom) sweltering. The "lock" for the sliding glass door doesn't work--you can easily just shove the door open. Also, the screen door doesn't stay on its hinges and falls off nearly every time it's opened. Maintenance has been here 3 separate times to fix this and still it breaks on a daily basis.
The windows get jammed and we have to stuff towels in them until maintenance will fix them, which usually takes several days and more than one request. All of the toilets are old and run continuously unless you jiggle the handle, which if you forget to do costs you money for water because NONE of your utilities are included in your rent. The air conditioning hasn't worked since move in (August 2008) although maintenance has claimed to fix it twice. There have been periods of time when there is no hot water, and the heat has been running pretty much constantly for the past 12 hours and it's still only 64 degrees in here. The blinds that cover the sliding door/window are plastic pieces of ---- and after living here for 6 months are completely non-functioning. Maintenance won't fix them. Also, for some reason the hot water heater makes your water so hot that if you aren't careful it will literally scald the ---- out of your hands/body/whatever touches it.
The internet that they suggest for you at Hiddentree is through Comcast, and don't even get me started on what a ------- disaster that's been. I don't know if it's because Hiddentree has old faulty wiring or if it's just the fact that Comcast is a piece of ----, but getting the cable TV/internet initially set up and 100% functioning took a period of nearly 3 weeks.
Parking is an absolute nightmare, and like I said, I'm only a VERY regular visitor (which is probably a huge part of the problem, the large number of frequent visitors). Finding parking during the day isn't too hard, because families are off to school/work/etc, but after 5 PM and any time during the weekend, good luck. There is often literally no parking in the entire complex, and if you park under the covered parking without a permit, THEY WILL tow you, even though after 6 months I have yet to see the covered parking full. Also, certain portions of the parking lot are in very bad shape. For example, the entrance to Woodcrest has a transition between two types of asphalt that has been patched unsuccessfully a few times, but if you don't slow down enough it'll practically rattle your tires off of your car, so drive with caution. Also, don't try to get smart by creating your own parking spot in the lawn because you'll get a $40 ticket.
One other important thing I forgot to mention is the sidewalk. BE CAREFUL ON THE SIDEWALK. I was wearing flipflops during the summer and stubbed my toe (not once, but TWICE) on the huge uneven gap between sidewalk pieces. It completely ripped a chunk of skin off my toe (both times) and I was so pissed off about it (and in agonizing pain for weeks) that I took a picture of the wound and gave it to maintenance. They never responded and the sidewalk is still uneven.
In conclusion, hiddentree should probably be imploded. It is the worst place I have ever experienced in terms of management, upkeep, etc. Run away from this place like a bat out of hell.
