These apartments have a lot of character--mine was built in 1939 and had original hard wood floors and ceramic tile in the bathroom, six paneled doors....the little things that make a place charming. However, the fact that it was built in 1939 and NEVER updated meant that it also lacked OUTLETS--a must!!(only one outlet in most rooms) AND Air conditioning, dishwasher, garbage disposal, ceiling lights or fans, counter space(nonexistant in both the kitchen and the bathroom) and thick insulation. The neighbor next door to me complained about my ALARM clock going off in the morning (I'm sorry--but he also phoned the POLICE because of this) Needless to say, the tenants can be very ----. The management is so so. The maintenance people are very friendly, attentive, and QUICK!! Eddie and Lee were probably the nicest maintenance people I've ever encountered. Even when everything seemed to break (refridgerator did not freeze, and my milk constantly spoiled, even though the maintenance people tried countless number of times to fix--the management would not buy me a new fridge!!)Oh, when it was time for me to move, I inquired about the month to month lease that they gushed about offering when I first signed, and they informed me that it would be no problem--the rent would be a mere $1000 dollars a MONTH!! What a ridiculous joke! Basically, if the management were a bit friendlier and willing to work with you, this wouldn't be such a horrible place to live! bYr9ljUwtCbMRXE8dRDC
