Lived for two years in HillCrest II. Apartment was quiet for the most part, with two exceptions that were promptly addressed by management when notified of the disturbance. All of the other renters were very laid back. The apartment had tons of closet space, which usually lacking in all rentals especially houses, and this was probably one of the apartments best assets. I also appreciated the fact that there was an actual dining area to put a table vs. a breakfast nook. The fact that the bathroom was divided with an extra sink, so it was like a 1 and 1/4ths bath, helped to make the apartment more functional. The apartments also seemed very well insulated, or energy efficient, because there was never an electric bill over $50. The maintenance guys were great about repairs, and the grounds are nicely maintained, but the girls at the front desk have that fake sweetness about them. The are SUPER nice as long as it is just general like "Hi, I'd like to find out about renting an apartment" or "Here is my rent check.", but as soon as you need anything beyond that, they immediately get obviously bitchy. I am not sure if they are burned out, or just lack the customer service skills, or have been instructed/trained to behave this way, but I encountered this more than once. However, since I rarely had to interact with them, this was easily overlooked. The location of this apartment is great if you would like to walk or bike to and from campus, and Frandor is right next door. If I moved back to E.L. for school, I would rent an apartment here again without a second thought. The best part of all is that they keep their rates reasonable and don't jack up the price year after year.

I am writing to respond to the above review of Loved it, left it, would come back again... while I was very happy to hear they enjoyed the apt and our maintenance staff... I must say I was very surprised to read that they thought the girls at the front desk were "fake and bitchy". Here at Fairview Realty Co., we strive to provide the most professional manners along with honesty and sincerity. Also, our customer service skills have been commended numerous times throughout the years while managing Hillcrest Village Apartments. However, unfortunately not everyone's perception is the same of us and we cannot please everyone, all the time.
