I would say living here has been a constant frustration since DTN Management sold the property to Madison Property Company in January 2007. The new management said that they would pay for our utilities this year if we'd re-sign our lease, but "lost the paperwork" before it was filed (and before we ever got a copy of it), meaning that we are stuck with the electric bill they said they'd pay... Our apartment CONSTANTLY REEKS OF POT from the floor below ours, despite numerous calls to the ELPD. The walls and floors conduct sound beautifully, meaning that we are gifted with constant base-enhanced video game playing from the apartment directly below us, and when the potheads from downstairs decide to leave their apartment to smoke cigarettes in the hallway at all hours of the night, it sounds (and smells) like they are literally in our apartment. The light above the entrance to our building has been burnt out for a year. There is usually trash around the outside of the building.

One positive would be the on-call maintenance crew, who responds quickly and efficiently to pages for help on the weekends. We've had to call on two separate occasions to report air conditioners pouring moldy water into the apartment (an installation flaw on DTN's part, not Madison's... not that Madison followed up on the maintenance requests/offered to clean carpets/replace linens, etc...).

Bottom line: If you care at all about being in an apartment community where people respect each other (and management respects you as a tenant), don't choose Hull.

Why have you lived here so long then? Did you ever report the light being out? Have you looked at the property now...looks pretty clean! I suggest that if you write something bad and then see improvement...you ought to write something good too. I have lived here just around the same time you have...and I have notice a awesome change since the new office staff...you gotta give them credit...it has been a whole lot better then the past. Before I had to pay for my heating too, but not any more. And yes parking isn't the best, but let's be honest...there is always one parking spot open. I have had some complaints and I took it to the office and they fixed it in a timely manner. Oh, by the way....the cops have been around regarding the "pot" smell in the hall ways...haven't you noticed??? I use to work for an apartment complex and I know they can't do much about the pot smokers...not even the cops can...unless they are undercover....How would you rate it now? You gotta admit...it has been a lot better ever since January. By the way, I renewed my lease with Hull Apartments!
