It's a decent place, not horrible but not great. Typical East Lansing.

We lived at Timber Lake for more than 3 years. We never had a problem with the staff, but sometimes things did take a while to be addressed. The front office staff was always very nice, but the groundskeeping service they hired were rude and did spotty work, especially in the winter when the walk going to our apartment (around the corner from the parking lot) was almost never shoveled. There was also a monster shrub that overgrew half the sidewalk that was never pruned unless I did it myself. We did have problems with people upstairs throwing parties at 3 AM and had to call the police several times under the advice of the front office, but that's what happens when you share a town with inconsiderate college jackasses. There is a big problem with people walking dogs and not cleaning up the mess, and the apartments are older. It is a very convenient location though, and most of the other places in East Lansing have the same problems. If they took care of the dog mess I would recommend the place without reservations, but as it is there are a few problems adn a lot of newer developments that have been put up in the past 2 or 3 years. They are much better than anything from DTN or whatever they are calling themselves now.
