If you are an MSU student who wants to be close to campus, it should be ok. For a single person or a couple, the floor plan is ideal, but it may not suit 2 roommates (lack of privacy, soundproofing...). Maintenance staff always responded to calls very quickly and made efficient repairs (except for one major instance in which things went horribly wrong in every way, but the office staff was very helpful in correcting the situation). You cannot hear any sounds from the neighbors on either side of you, but hallway noise can be considerable (Congratulations, you made it out of the dorms. Now shut your damn door!). Because of the close proximity to campus and closer proximity to bars, there are the occasional 3 a.m. drunken disturbances (watch for dramatic hallway break-ups, and the occasional early morning visit from a drunken stranger claiming to be the vice president's daughter and proclaiming :"You're going down!"). Units with the remodeled kitchens are very nice. There's a weird smell coming out of our bathroom that we can't figure out. If you're going be here for 12 months, be sure to sign a separate 3 month summer lease and a 9 month school year lease because the summer rent is cheaper(with one 12 month lease, you'll pay the regular rate all year). All in all, it's nothing special, but it worked for us.
