If the bugs and mice don't kill you, the utilities will break you

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2004
I moved in here with my wife from October through January 2004 while we were in between homes. I did kill 4-5 huge spiders the first week but that was it, then again it was 10 degrees outside. I wasn't expecting to see any bugs with the weather we had. When we finally moved out, we had an unexpected house guest come along.
The security is typical of most apartment, an 80 year old retiree siting at the gate asking whether or not you live here. The gate is open from dawn till 8pm, so time when you want to sneak in.
The condition of the cabinets and showers were deplorable. Additionally, I couldn't believe how much they were charging me for water; 29$/month for two people. In my old house we paid $39/quarter! I was on the first floor and ended up paying $100/month for gas. By the way, don't take a first floor apartment the noise from the upstairs will drive you nuts!
