I wish that I would have thought to read these things before we signed our lease. Never in a million years would I have suspected anything like this...that is until I moved here. This is my first apartment and if I had the option I would gladly go back home to live with my parents again. Unfortunatley we still have 7 months to go!

Citation Club looks wonderful from the outside and the specials make it even better, but then you have to think about why they are running specials soo low and so frequently. I can fill you on my personal experiences to hopefully provide some incite before you make the same decision I made. But maybe I'm just overeacting and don't know what I'm talking about because that's what the office staff and maintence has told me.

When we signed our lease for our first floor 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment there were a few issues that we had that they promised to resolve...as of right now, we are still waiting for our oven fan to be fixed and the bathroom floors to be restored to their white color. We also quickly realized that maintence takes 3-4 days to come out if they show at all and that you have to tell the office staff at least twice before they will give a message or schedule a repair. And if that doesn't work you have to call the regional manager and that usually does the trick, but after a month things are back to the way they were.

The Bad Things About Citation Club:

1.Don't judge a book by it's cover...it all looks good until you move in and then you realize that the same quality on the outisde is different than how they treat the inside. And the ouside of my building has not been painted in at least 3 years.

2.The wonderful landscaping in complete with a sprinkler system that hits the cars, sidewalk, and street. Not to mention floods the grass and makes everything soggy and muddy.

3.The website and staff promotes a security guard, but fails to mention that they are only there from 6-12 at night. But security is not very benefical because you can drive around the gate or say you live here and they'll let you right in, not to mention that you show up any time after 12 and get in no problem.

4.This luxarious apartment is furnished with the bottom-end applainces. You are better off cleaning dishes by hand than using a dishwasher. And the wahser and dryer are junk and ruin clothes all the time.

5.I thought that I had noisy neighbors, but it turns out that everything is soo thin that you will hear everything no matter what. Don't live on the first floor.

6.Like everyone else we too have bugs, bugs, and more bugs. We have centipedes, milipedes. rolly pollys, and my personal favorite spiders! Not just a few, but everywhere...and these aren't little things either, they are the size of a quarter to half dollar with a defined head and body. Orcon visits our apartment on a regular basis and it obivously isn't working becuase they are still everywhere.

7.Today I finally realized why we can't get rid of them. Our hall closet has mold growing in it as well as inside the wall (Mositure attracts bugs). THe funny thing is when we told them about the problem a month ago they cleaned it up and said it was gone. But it's back. And when I called maintence the guy had the nerve to laugh at me and be cocky. Well when they started cutting out the drywall to look I knew we had more of a problem. Turns out it's in our walls and it's a black mold (we'll find out for sure when the health department comes tomorrow). And for the icing on the cake, the apartment above us flooded ours 2 years ago and this could still be the aftermath of that. I love maintence and our apartment!
