Good for a summer rental ONLY!

I am currently the resident here and I am moving somewhere else as soon as I can. It is winter 2006, January and I just paid $250 to Consumers Energy for the heat bill...
The walls are not insulated enough- paper thin, too many windows, a patio door (does not shut well) and the entrance door leads right out to the great outdoors. When it's windy, you will feel the draft everywhere, especially on the upper floors.
I recommend this place for a summer rental only. Your apartment will feel cool from the night up until afternoon, which can reduce the A/C bill a little bit.
The interesting part is the conversations you will hear from your neighbors, quoting what I have heard: a girl (softly): "do you feel happy with me' a boy (screaming on top of his lungs): No! I don't feel happy with you! I am NOT happy!" :) that sorta fights.. I didnt mind hearing at all..
Other than that I have been pretty much happy with the place- very unique architecturally, with private entrances, high ceilings, nice bathroom tile. The mainenance guys are very charming and helpful, although the office does not always put the job in the same day you request it...
If only the construction were steardier, built from concrete, it would be the perfect place to call home.
But I'm leaving to a place where they offer FREE HEAT! :)

Honestly, gas prices have gone up - are you really going to blame it on the apartment complex??? I live here and I love it. Yes my gas bill has gone up but I am not blaming the construction of the building.

Hello truckdriver, I now live in a different apartment, in a different city, and I pay $0 for the heat. How do you like that? I love my apartment much better than Citation Club. I no longer worry over freezing in the morning or the wind blowing in on windy cold days. Check out The Troy Place instead. |

Hello agganna..I like that just fine! Sounds like your heat is included in your rent? I am glad that you are so happy in your new place...Troy? How old is the building? And why is your heat included? Hmmmmm...me? Oh I am still living at Citation Club and STILL loving it. THANKS!
