Citation club wasn't really an ideal place to live. Problems that we reported when we moved in were never really fixed, and problems that arose later seemed to be just a short fix to keep us from complaining. After a flood in our apartment, I spoke to the carpet cleaner and he said that their company was at citation club non-stop for flooding issues.
The apartments are poorly insulated, so come winter time the heat will run non-stop. Summer is not much different with the AC. We paid $84 a month on the set rate plan for gas and it was a 600sqft place.
The biggest rip off of them all is once you move out. Make sure you get the letter that you are vacating 30 days before you move out, because even 3 days late and they charge you rent for those days.
You might as well kiss your security deposit goodbye when you move in, because they figure out a way to screw you out of it.
Thank goodness for paying for the gate guard. It was rare that anyone was there and it does not do much good

Overall, find a nicer place. There are plenty in the area that are run better then beztak properties, especially for the price you pay to live there.

ok, a 30 day notice is what it is, a 30 day notice. Have you ever heard of fair housing laws? Read them. We have to according to the law treat people fairly and equally. So that means 30 day notice is what is required. $84 a month for A/C? Actually that's not bad. But don't complain to Citation Club considering we are not the ones who own DTE. You're billed from DTE correct? You may want to direct your bill to the company who actaully charges you that.

yeah, you are right. I guess I forgot that DTE is the ones that came in and built cardboard apartments. The rotted out doorwall to the outside, the breezy windows, the visible gap between the door and the door jam, these are all DTE's fault.I guess when we noted it when we moved in to citation club we should have called DTE instead. I wonder what DTE would say if I called them up and said they should come fix citation clubs apartments because my bill is too high. You are also right, a 30 day notice means 30 days. I guess I was just following their (or should I say, your) slow response time on every other problem or issue we had in our apartment. I guess I was following by example. Thanks for your excuses, but if I turned one person away it was a success. I guess I could have been more blunt and offer our viewpoints on the office staff and their exceptional inability to have a normal functioning personality.

I agree with eastbound06. I posted my review earlier recommending the Citation Club apartments for only summer living. Because the apartments are not well insulated and the heat bills run sky high. More than for the houses surrounding the Club. I paid one winter month $250.00. Thats at least a hundred more than a bill for heating the whole house. And the reason are paper thin walls and gaps in windows. When it was a windy day, I could hear the wind blowing in and out.
I suggest a major construction remodelling.
But otherwise, for the summer, the apartments are a dream to live in. Thanks to beautiful surroundings for the most part.
