The good: Big apartments, quiet community and nice grounds. Close to I 696, 12 oaks mall, krogers and Hillers. Many nice places to eat...everything you need close by. Maint staff are great! Quick, professional and nice.

The Bad: Hot water tanks burst here all the time. My apt was flooded the first year and is apparently a common thing to happen. The staff can enter your apt without your approval at any time. (Creapy) Sprinklers are always on...even when it is raining buckets! So the grass is always mushy and muddy. Pool is aways cloudy. They do not offer automatic withdraw/payment for rent which is bad if you travel a lot...they jump the gun with eviction notices. If you bank with Chase, they will send in a check for you automatically which is nice. The "gatehouse" is known as kind of a joke around here. It is only manned when the typical 9 to 5er is at home. Is unmanned when we are sleeping and at work! The girl that "watches" the gate does not even lookup when you drive in and just presses the button if she catches a glimpse that a car is there. Each and every visitor that comes to see me laughs at that! The mature woman with her adorable dog however does check every car. (she is a sweetheart!) I did have to install my own security system for when I am away however. $$$

The Ugly: The walls are stark white. They encourage you to paint them whatever color you choose. (Like they are doing you a favor) BUT, you have to repaint it white again before you leave otherwise they will deduct the cost from your deposit. $$$ Never look under the appliances unless you want to be grossed out. They do not paint or clean the baseboards before you move in. Carpets are not clean when you move in, in my experience. (had to buy a carpet cleaner myself..what it picked up I dare not mention) *gag*

As apts go, this is probably the best place to live in the area for the price. There are a lot of kids here however which can get on my nerves some times. :)

Every place that I have lived had their apt already painted a nice warm neutral color...not with white paint primer. But thats cool. Not a biggie...still like it here.

We do not look at you painting an apartment as doing Citation Club a favor. We tell people if they would like to paint, feel free to do so. Just paint it back before you move. It's no different than anyother community. But I do appreciate your nice comments. The grounds here are great and the maintenance staff works very hard and a nice bunch of guys. Thank You!!!!
