I have lived here for almost a year and I feel that Fairmont is like most apartments sneaky and only out for themselves. When I signed my lease the nice girl (Brandi) who is of course no longer there told me that the company that owns Fairmont has properties all over MI and the United States and that if I ever needed to transfer for work they would help me find another location with no penalties...of course when it came time for me to be transfered they really only have a locations in Arizona and in the Metro Detroit area. They also promised me upon movein that I would have new appliances, and a new kitchen floor. Unless "New" means dirty and with gouges out of my floor then I am not really sure what they are talking about. They also promised free laundry access which they quickly replaced with coin operated machines. The cleanliness of the hallways and the carpeted stairs are quite alarming as well, there is an unknown substance all over the carpet stairways which has been there now for over 4 months...the hallways smell really bad, whenever I have guests over they hold their breath until they get to my apartment. My neighbors are pretty loud and my bedroom backs up to my neighbors bedroom...need I say more. Maintenance does get to problems pretty quickly but if they can't fix it they just disconnect it. Other than that it is a pretty good place to live. I will say that Fairmont takes really good care of their clubhouse, fitness center, pool, and landscaping around the clubhouse. They want to make sure the employees have something nice to look at.
