Was Great, But Declining

I?ve lived at Green Hill Apts. since 2000. When I first moved there, it was very nice in a park-like setting. Maintenance responded quickly and the lawns were kept green and well manicured. The walls are thin, and you do hear every little noise from above and next door. The heating system pops and clicks during the winter, but I can live with that.
In 2002, however, things began to change. Maintenance has to be called repeatedly and they rarely do the job right the first time. They stopped watering the lawns entirely in 2002, and as a result had to replace some of the sod last summer. They needed to replace it all in some areas, but instead they re-sodded only strips along the walkways, leaving large weed-filled mudholes in the middle of the lawns (our calls to management fell on deaf ears). To add insult to injury, they continued to water lawns near the Leasing Center, however, to keep up a good impression for potential tenants. They may as well have saved the money they spent on the re-sodding: they watered the new sod for about 3 weeks and stopped, so it died as well. By the end of last summer, my lawn looked so bad that I was ashamed to bring company home. Also, while the snow removal service used to work early mornings after a storm to allow tenants to get out to work, the company they now use show up only after we've plowed through the snow all day - usually around 10 or 11 the next NIGHT after a storm, keeping us awake with the noise. We pay too much rent for such poor service, and the community was too nice a place to be allowed to wither and die from neglect. Management either does not care or does not understand how neglect will damage their business in the end.
