I moved in back in November 2007 and I think the complex and the management team our getting a bad break. First off for the area and ammenties, there's not a better deal. Believe me I checked. 2nd when I did have a problem the issue was resolved within 24 hours. I know people who are paying double or triple the amount for rent and have issues. The lease special they had for residents, where no lease payment was due until the 1st of the year was excellent, considering the crunch Michigan residents are facing. So quit winning and enjoy.

To each is own! I live in an apartment in Bevely Hills, for a little more, more sq. feet, CLEAN, and quite-no one out here is selling drugs in my hallway, or soliciting my son to buy drugs. People here go to work, and aren't up all night loud, smoking weed, throwing trash in the hall or outside our building-they actually treat it like they live here. Forget a special-I work everyday and deserve to recieve quality living accommodations. It's not about whinning, it's about spending your money for quality living and services, and that won't happen at IDG, compared to other places.

You're right, for the price the area and the amenities are great, and the maintenance department has really improved since I moved in. I've been here for a few years now, and I absolutely LOVE my apartment. However, I'm going to have to agree with kgocha, my issue is with the other residents and their guests, many of which are extremely disrespectful. They come home drunk at 2 a.m. and make a scene in the parking lot. They run through the hallways, talk loudly and slam doors at all hours of the night. Some of them even think the hallway is a great place to hang out with their friends. And when they finally make it into their own apartment, they play loud music, stomp around above you, and even let their kids play with the door buzzer system. When you finally get sick of it and complain to the leasing office, they treat you like you're wasting their time. And before you say I'm whining, let me tell you I've lived in enough other apartments to know that the level of noise here at IGA is not "normal" for an apartment complex. I will definitely not be renewing my lease!!

The funny thing about most of the responses that give IGA the benefit of the doubt is that they all basically say, "it could be worse..." Yeah, and I could win the lotto. I also want to know what amenities everyone is speaking about, the pool? I lived right near it and trust me, between the ex-cons and screaming children it's not even a bonus. How bout the AC, can't beat the window unit shoved in the wall, or the included heat thats just wrapped into the rent and twice what I pay in my 1,100 sq. ft. place currently. Or mailboxes that are a mile away from the apartment, but thats cool cause you can't park any closer to your place, someones Cutlass has been parked by your door for months. I guess it could be worse, you might have to lie somewhere that requires you to drive for
