Just a heads up folks. If you are a minority stay away from this place. The Independence Green staff is happy to get minorities to sign a lenghty contract, however once they sign they treat them like the plagued. Their upset because only someone with poor credit or doesn't know better will lease from them. I am taking them to court to show that they treat minority groups differently as far as service and fees access. If you have been treated the same please write so as a group we can put a stop to this maddness!


P.S. Before you sign just take a tour without the rental agent and you will see the truth!!

They don't just treat minorities poorly, they treat everyone poorly. I was injured on their property and their response was "it's not our responsibility to keep the place up". Well, then whose is it?? It took 3 weeks and many harrassing calls for them to clean up the area I was injured in, then they tried to charge me the grounds keeping fees for unnecessary apartment mantainance as well as keep my deposit when I refused to sign again!

I live next door in Windemere and before I moved in I toured the Independence Green complex and the lady called me and harassed me about signing a lease like I owed her money up until I told her I chose another apartment.

I experienced the same thing! I moved out last month and they are charging me over $900 in fees because I gave them 52 instead of 60 days notice of moving out. I even talked to them when I sent in my notice to make sure I wouldn't be charged and they said everything was okay. While trying to dispute the charges I spoke with three different people and each one of them were rude and dismissive. Worst apartment community ever
