I initially signed a one-year lease on what they call a Terrace Home (private entry, upper level) and renewed it for another year. I loved Muirwood. Sure, people fly through the complex, which was extremely annoying but it's in my opinion a cultural thing--lots of foreigners, which is typical of Farmington Hills anyway. Pick an entirely different city if you have diversity issues. Period. Anyway, I don't know why people are getting their security deposits withheld. We allowed the Direct TV installer to drill holes in the wall from the exterior to the interior and STILL got a check in the mail for 100% of my deposit. I love Muirwood. Sure, I had to follow up with Service requests a time or two, but it got done. My apartment you could tell was a little aged but hey, call Service until you end up with new fixtures, a porch made of all new wood planks and new railings, a new door... If I had to move back into an apartment today, I would be content at Muirwood.
