The management is totally disrespectful and have refused to ask maintenance to fix anything brought to their attention.I have hundreds of bugs(and worms in my apt when it rains)due to the doorwall not fitting properly.I live in the oldest building and was reassured my doorwall which has issues (not fitting the settled frame) would be replaced. I wrote it up when I moved in & no one came to fix it in winter.I've paid rent timely for 7 months waiting. I paid HUGE heat bills because we froze to death as we lost our heat, and the winter wind blew into my living room, creating a solid ice bar at the bottom of my doorwall. You could watch the blinds move when the wind blew. This was the only 2BR on the 1st floor available at the time and I was told it would receive the attention it desperatley needed before I signed the lease. The maintenance Supervisor told me to hang plastic outside my doorwall to keep the cold out instead of inside as I had it while waiting for them until he could replace it (he said it has to be in spring, when the weather broke) telling me I need the whole doorwall replaced, not just the glass they told him needed replacing(you cant see through due to moisture accumulating/staining and freezing)It is very embarrassing when I have company in my new place. I already had plastic on the inside blowing out like a huge marshmallow that did not allow my blinds to close; I have pictures of this and when I showed them to the maint supr and got a laugh; he said the office cant see my doorwall and I should do something to keep from freezing like hang plastic on the outside even though the rules say not to.(and I thought that was HIS JOB to keep the heat in!)I taped plastic on both sides, creating a fire hazard;blocking the way out; waited for him to return, asked him everytime I saw him about it, he said he would be over to fix it as promised. He never showed up. I put in repeated complaints about it and he never came back. He sent a guy who did a nice screen door job, he even replaced my other screen that didnt fit on a window when I showed im the 1/2"gap. The doorwall was so bad, the bugs, worms and centipedes kept coming in. I loose air conditioning, pay HUGE electric bills and the living room feels like an oven when it is above 80. I was told they dont know how to replace the doorwall themselves; THEY HIRED CONTRACTED LABOR ALL SUMMER LONG TO DO OVER 50,000 worth of improvements in landscaping but refuse to fix anything with a contractor to help in regards to fire laws like my doorwall'! My doorwall isn't usable to enjoy my patio, is unsafe and again, I am facing winter coming and a contractor must be hired! THEY HAVE NO PRIORITIES REGARDING SAFETY CONCERNS WHATSOEVER. Even the parking lot lights is a safety issue and cars are being damaged and keyed. It is unsafe for the kids here as well. The only exterior lights outside our doors are carport lights that dont work several times each month, they go out for awhile... it is so dark, you cant see your hand in front of your face. It's also a safety issue that needs fixing. I never felt so unsafe or used for my rent payments. My health can be fatal due to a condtion I have and I was made fun of when I brought any concerns or complaints to the office manager explaining how the lies and stress were causing my health issues to worsen...I have never been treated so poorly.
