Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2004
I have lived here for 2 years (I am finally moving). While the apartment itself isn't that bad, the service here is deplorable. The front office staff has never been helpful. Examples' My neighbor's music was so loud it was shaking the pictures on my walls. I called the front office and they told me it wasn't their responsibility to take care of it. They told me to go knock on his door and tell him to turn it down. My toilet has never worked properly. It probably overflows 1 a week. The managements solution' "Maybe I should invest in a plunger". I'm sorry, but if I wanted to do and pay for my own maitenance I would buy a house, not rent an apartment. The front office also signed for a package for me and then lost it. They never took responsibilty. All I got was a "Gee, that's too bad". Also my entire 1st year here I never received a water bill so I had no idea I was supposed to be paying for my water. Until one day I receive a nasty letter saying if I don't pay my $250 water bill, they won't accept my rent. So I pay the water bill, but for the next 2 months they keep returning my rent check to me with the same threat! Um, hello. I paid this bill in full! They have no book-keeping skills whatsoever!
This winter my heat would not go on. I work 2 jobs and didn't discover this until I got home at 1030 pm. I called the emergency maitaince # and was met with the comment "your just figuring this out now'". Rude, rude, rude! Your the one that chose to be an on-call maintaince person! I'm just asking you to do your job!
If you plan to use your A/C in the summer be prepared for sky high bills. My average electric bill in the summer was $150. This is because the A/C units are so ancient. And of course management would do nothing about this either.
The grounds look like crap (and are filled w/ dog crap as well). But of course they renovated the clubhouse! The lights outside as well as in the buildings are always out. If you're a single woman, I'd reccommend being really careful. There have been attempted armed robberies here. So the darkness makes it that much easier to not be seen.
In conclusion, DO NOT CONSIDER THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX! You're sure to find better for cheaper.
