I have lived in Madison at Farmington Hills for 2 years and will be moving out at the end of this lease. They have swtiched management staff twice since I moved in. Maintenance staff is very slow to respond but it's usually only because the lazy woman at the office didn't tell them about your problem. Plan on calling at least 3 times before you get a response a week later. Needless to say the office staff leaves a lot to be desired. They are friendly before you sign your lease but once that baby is signed they treat you like scum. You have to share a washer and dryer with 10 other apartments and the laundry rooms are really scary. Apartment walls are really thin. Neighbors are noisy and your apartment fills with smoke when your neighbor smokes a cigarette. They raise your rent $15 at each lease renewal. Hallways are skanky and dirty and smell like curry. Appliances are really old. You pay ALL utilities including water and they are EXPENSIVE. Furnaces are old and need to be replaced. I have reported TWO gas leaks since living here. All in all the property maintenance has improved over the last two years but still needs a lot of work.
