I lived in this apartment for over a year. For the area you do get a lot of square footage for the apartment. The maintenance is actually fast at reacting to your emergency call. I was on the bottom level and had a major leak in my ceiling which they fixed.

I lived over in the 1900's part of the complex. If you live in that part which is just the cheaper ones, expect very bad noise issues. Not only would I hear my upstairs neighbor flush the toilet all the time but I could hear their conversations and even the grunts they did while they were on the toilet. I had neighbors all the time call the police on either because of the noise. One time they came to my place only because I had my TV on at 9pm at a normal level. The police even said that they were nuts because they came into my place and I proved to them how bad the noise is.

If it is a weekend expect to not park in your spot or in front of your building. Every weekend I had a problem of someone parking in my carport and I had to walk far away. Luckily, the roads and sidewalks are well taken care of, but still being in Michigan, it is slippery.

The safety was adequate. They had police do several drive-bys during the night but there are still a lot of break ins into cars and some apartments. I did have an issue that my next door neighbor was a drug dealer! They got evicted but I still had people knock on my door asking "is the dealer home'". They have a buzz entry which is nice but people prop it open or break the door just to avoid having to pull out their keys! During the summer the door would break open at least once a week!! So when the buzz entry did work, you have to be careful on who you let in. All the time people would buzz my number that I didn't know.
