DO NOT rent a lower unit. The construction is so poor that you can feel the outside air coming in at the floor. If you lay your head down at the exterior walls you can see outside between the floor and wall! For some reason when they built this place they didn't connect the exterior walls to the floor, and in the winter it's FREEZING!! My heat bill has gone from $45 in the summer to over $250 in the winter! My neighbor just got a bill for over $400!! The apartment place really should give us a break on the rent for being in the lower units. It's not our fault this place wasn't built right. My kids room is cold at night and we have to set the thermostat at over 74 degrees just to keep somewhat warm. When I complained they stuck some sort of spray foam in the HUGE cracks between the floor and wall, but that really doesn't help. My heat runs 24/7, and my feet freeze. Just really built poorly. And windows' I don't know much about them, but it's freezing cold by them and there is thick ice all along the bottom sills, and some black mold. Not gonna complain anymore cause there's really nothing they can do. Maybe give us a rent break'' Doubt it.
