Maplebrook is decent for the price. I live in a one-bedroom, and the apartment itself is pretty small, but the living room and bedroom are nice-sized. The walls are paper-thin--you can hear from bathroom-to-bathroom, and from the hallway to the living room.
There's no private entrance, so a lot of the time there are kids hanging out in the hallways. A lot of the time the lights in the hallways are out (they were out for nearly two weeks once). The water shuts off for about ten minutes at least once a month. I have not called about it, so I do not know first-hand what management response to this is.
My main complaint is with maintenance. The closet doors break if you breathe on them the wrong way, so they've broken 3 or 4 times on me since I've lived here (about 7 months). They have never fixed them correctly, and one time it took them a month to get to it. (When they finally did, they didn't fix it right, of course, because it's still busted.)
It's relatively a low living cost here--heat is paid, and I've never had an electric bill more than $25. The complex isn't in the greatest of areas, so if you move in, make sure you lock your doors. The police are always out here (whether for good or bad reasons, I can't say).
Maplebrook is relatively good for the price, and good for a first-time apartment buyer like I was. I am, however, planning on moving out when the lease ends.
