We have lived next door to Heatherwood for almost four years, and were simply looking for a change. Heatherwood looked like a nice place to live, and we were hoping to move there for the next year or so, before buying a house.

Their staff is literally incompetent. We tried for almost two months to try to move into the apartments. We were first put on a waiting list, and it took them a month to get back to us. We picked a room that they said should be open, but when the day came to sign the lease, we found out they had listed us as wanting a totally different room. On top of that, when we said we would like to look at the room anyway, the maintenance worker told the person we were working with that the room was not ready (even though they said we could sign the lease and move in that day). The person we were working with and the maintenance worker began to fight with each other. Rather than apologizing, the person we were working with tried to defend her position to us. Absolutely un-professional.

We still wanted to see the room, but the lady could not even find the key for it. We asked to speak with her manager, but she said that we could not, because she was not working that day. She finally got her on the phone, and my wife talked to her. My wife was obviously frustrated and upset, and the manager asked to please "(not) get emotional". That was absolutely it. The next Monday, I called back to cancel our reservation. I (unfortunately) talked to the lady we were working with. She did not remember me at first, but she finally did. I told her that we were not interested in moving into their apartments anymore, and she non-chalantly replid "Oh, ok. Bye.", and hung up the phone.

I ABSOLUTELY do not recommend Heatherwood Apartments. They have a nice-looking grounds, and the apartments are nice enough, but I cannot recall a worse experience with any staff in my life. I vowed that day that I would do my best to encourage everyone to find an alternative to Heatherwood Apartments. If you are reading this, please, please find somewhere else to live. Rent a house, find a different apartment complex....buy a cheaper house if you have to. Do not spend two months going through what we had to.
