My husband and I have recently moved to Knollwood and unfortunately signed a 12 month lease. We've only lived here 3 months and it has been the worst experience ever!! They are very nice and helpful in the office before you sign your lease, but afterwards they are some of the rudest people you'll ever meet!
They are not prompt about making repairs, and when they do make repairs, they don't notify you. Today, for instance, I have no water. I called the office to report it and they were RUDE to me, telling me "they're making repairs, they needed to shut it off." I asked when it would be turned back on and they said "I DON'T KNOW!!" and hung up! So, here I sit, unable to shower, make lunch, or do dishes or laundry, and have places to go later. A few weeks ago, they shut the hot water off to fix the heater...while I was taking a shower!! (The hot water here still sucks. You share a heater with the other tenants in your building) It makes me glad we have not had children yet.
About a month after we moved in they came to replace the kitchen floor (why they didn't do it before we moved in, I have no idea). I was taking a shower and exit the bathroom in a towel to find the creepy maintenance man standing in the kitchen staring at me. He entered the apartment very quietly, and worked very quietly. At least the last apartment complex I was at informed you when people would be entering your apartment, and asked for permission to enter if you weren't there.
I would not recommend moving here!!!!!!
