Worst apartment I have lived in.

During the one year that I stayed in this place, the toilet overflowed ten times. The place was crawling with insects, even on the second level and with all doors and windows closed...they just would not seal properly. Management was rather rude when I told them I wanted to move into another apartment...just would not give me another apartment to move into, nor would they fix the problems. Adding to that, the construction is so poor that each time someone upstairs so much as walked, the fixtures in my apt would start shaking. The rent appears to be reasonable, but heat is not included and there are hidden costs like a refundable maintenance fee, etc. Cell phone connection was also very bad in the complex. On the whole, would never recommend anyone even be in the vicinity of these apartments...leave alone stay in them. The only way I see these apartments actually get a good rating is if the management staff themselves are posting anonymous reviews.

I gave this complex an excellent review, and I swear I'm not anonymous management staff. I've lived here for 4.5 years. I'll agree with you on many counts - the windows are awful. I had to caulk them myself due to bugs, and in the winter they have to be shrink-wrapped to avoid enormous heating bills. Cell phone connection is terrible the minute I drive into the complex, and I can't use my cell in my apartment reliably. Office staff can be aloof and some of them appear snooty at first - they took FOREVER to warm up to me. In addition, the paving maintenance has gone WAY downhill. They "fix" the roads in the complex by filling potholes with gravel and then putting an orange barrel on the hole. All that said - I've lived in tons of apartments, and in comparison, this one is AWESOME. I think there's a lot of variability depending on which building you live in. Mine is a high number (i.e., newer). I've seen some of the lower-number buildings from the outside and they do look a bit scary. Overall...I truly believe these apartments are a great value for the rent, provided you're lucky enough to be in a newer building!

Toilets don't just overflow on their own. I would assume that there was too much in the toilet for it to be able to flush properly. I have never lived in an apartment or home for that matter where I did not see spiders, centipedes, lady bugs, pill bugs and boxelder bugs. Insects are a part of nature and can get in the smallest of cracks. The best anyone can do is take advantage of the free pest control service provided by the management. As far as cell phone reception is concerned I would blame my cell phone provider not the apartment complex.

I lived there for 3 years and loved it. Yes the heat bill was higher in the winter. I never had any problem with anyone in the office. They were always very nice to me. The maintenance guy was always very nice and came very quickly and got things fixed right away.
