Enjoyable place to live!

Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2009

I am about to sign my second year at Fountain Pointe! I've only ever lived in one other apartment, which was government subsidized. I have to say- I like it here much better!

The ladies in the office are always very nice when we come to pay our rent or need to call them for something. They have always been able to clarify or find an answer for our questions. They try to not keep you waiting (if they are helping someone already when you walk in). I find their hours to be quite reasonable too (open on weekends)!

It's quite a large complex with a fitness room, a sauna and a pool (which could be a little bigger considering the size of the place). You can rent carports, and play pool and rent space in the clubhouse, or play tennis on the courts. There is also a storage unit for every apartment here. I love that they keep things looking nice and work hard to keep the snow off the sidewalks and the parking lots.

The apartment was very clean and kept when we moved in. We've only had a couple things that needed fixing. The dishwasher needed a new pump, the air conditioner needed service at the end of the summer, and the unit above us had a leak behind the toilet, which made a tiny leak in the roof of our bathroom. Maintenance is very quick and have always been very friendly. They have always explained specifics of the nature of any problems that they had to come in to fix, even on the little door hanger papers. All in all, this complex is getting older and things will break with age- it happens. No big deal.

I've never had any bug problems here. I can certainly say that you'll lose heat out of the windows hardcore during winter. Definitely seal them during cold months, maybe even buy some energy efficient drapes if you like. Cell phone signal seems to get squashed here, though I don't have as many dropped calls as some do when they come over to visit. Maybe it's the type of phone... I don't know. Sometimes the resident swans and ducks stroll around the area, and the swans have accosted my fiance while he was trying to leave for work. This only happened once, and we were amused, not scared. The last thing is, the dryer... its an old coin-op that can often take a second run to dry your clothes, but for all I know it just may be the one in my building that does that.

I really can't complain about anything here- I like it very much. I would recommend it for anybody.
