We just moved here from the west side of Lansing and this place is nice. The put in new carpeting and vinyl as well as fixed a few maintenance issues we had. The apartments are spacious (about 1000 sq feet) and include a storage unit inside the building. The common areas are clean and well let and there is a laundry niche in the building as well. The machines are $1.25 a load and there are 2 washer and 2 dryers. There is also a nearby laundromat that many tenants use.
There are no "amenities" at Sandstone Creek, other than living in Grand Ledge which is an amenity in itself. We are reasonalby close to shopping, schools, as well as couple of very nice parks. It is still close enough to Lansing, and the expressway, but far enough away to get out of the hustle and bustle of same.
Just getting out of the car after a long days work reminds me of being on vacation. There are so many trees, especially evergreens, that it feels like you're camping, rather than in an apartment complex. Parking is adequate, though I usually park in the visitor's lot as the resident parking is usually full. This is not a problem as the walking distance is just about the same. Managment is also attentive and responsive to the needs of the tenants, while still maintaining a laid back, small town feel.
By the way, in response to the responses, my wife (or woman as you so eloquenly put it), has never been in property management. I've worked in property management as a maintenance supervisor and technician for nearly six years before getting out of the business in 2006 (never for Madison Management). I know the ins and outs of this business a little bit. I also have a life and refuse to have a battle of wits with an unarmed person. Please keep the ad hominem attacks out of these reviews in the future, they don't do you justice. Peace!

I don't know where you are living but i live here too, and they are the worst apartments i have ever lived in. We have had many problems with the staff not fixing things right and with pests like fleas. I have never lived in worse conditions in my life. This apartment complex needs to be demolished and rebuilt to code. The office staff will not help to take care of noisy bothersome upstairs neighbors. They also will not renew leases because you complain about the staff.

I appreciate the fact that you're having so much trouble to the point that you've had to raise your voice rather than reinforce your argument against this place and the management, whom I know personally. One thing about the property management business is that there are too many tenants that feel a sense of entitlement, wanting a brand-new place for little or no money. I raise foster children out of this apartment and the worker found it to be more than adequate. So as far as not being up to code, that dog doesn't hunt. Concerning the bothersome neighbors, this is an apartment. If they are that loud, call the police. Sandstone Creek's management does not regulate noise (most apartments don't). Fleas are usually because somoene has a dog or cat without using the proper treatments and then blames the management. This is clearly a tenant's responsibility to inform the management to get the pest control involved.

I agree maintsuper, someone who remains anonymous obviously does want there name known and therefor is scared of there actions or lack there of! People like the lady with the dog obviously doesnt have the money to care for her pets and needs an escape from her own wrong doing. My advice is to take responsibilty for your actions and clean your mut up, a simple bath should do...do you need instructions? Anyways this complex is great, its quiet and really wooded, the neighbors such as Maintsuper are polite and caring. All I can say to anonymous is grow up, find a job and stop blaming everyone else for your problems, if you didnt get renewed for a lease its something you did!!!! most likely good your moving! best of luck!

Apparently Sandstone Creek has just one or two more "bad eggs" to get rid of since they fired the previous manager. Good work, management! Get rid of the flea-ridden deadbeats. Your property will be better for it. I work for the Grand Ledge Police Department and we're happy to see we don't make weekly visits to your community anymore! Keep up the great work.
