I've lived in Apple Ridge for over 4 years in 2 different apartments, and I haven't had any problems with the complex. Maintenance is usually same-day if you call in the morning, the pool is nice and they do a pretty good job of shoveling and plowing in the winter. Parking in most places is ok, just depends on what building you're in. I have taken severl late-night walks and never felt unsafe. Close to GVSU, downtown and highways too. Overall I'd recommend Apple Ridge if you're looking to spend less on rent and still have a decent place. I liked it enough to move back after moving home for a little while.
