If anyone else who lived or lives in Appleridge maybe you can help me. What is acceptable as far as noise'' I posted the last post about the noisy neighbors upstairs stomping & yelling a lot. I know Appleridge has strict noise policies and can kick tenants out rather easily so I dont want to be a jerk and call about my upstairs neighbors all the time. However I just wondered what should I be tolerating'' If i had things my way, i wouldve had them kicked out by now. They play music loud enough so that I can hear the lyrics, they stomp around a lot and it has knocked the clock off my wall before. Whenever they raise their voice, I can hear every word! I do not like this environment and will definately move out when my lease is up for many other reasons. I have seen who they are and understand they are loud, obnoxious, and rude people in general. Not pleasant to live beneath for sure!

I agree that neighbors are an issue. I had a couple GVSU girls above me that used to come home from the bar at 2:30 a.m. and drop stuff on the floor and bring over their friends or guys they picked up at the bar. I called the police and/or maintenance on them and after the first few times they stopped. (Probably because once more and they're evicted.) I'm not really trying to say that college students are the problem because I was a student while I was living there too, I suppose I'm just not as loud.

Why was my original post from a few months ago deleted when I made a new post??? Either way, Appleridge is bad. The food the Asian neighbors make next door is awful and comes into my apartment NOT from the hallway but thru the sink or something its sickening, but I cant stop it and the office is totally clueless and doesnt help at all. Also the neighbors upstairs are very loud & obnoxious people, always yelling, stomping, playing loud vulgar music, etc. I cannot wait to move out of this terrible environment!

Deal with it. Chances are, said people above you can hear your voices as well. The walls in Appleridge are paper thin. I can hear the people beneath me loud and clear at "normal" conversation voices!

Also, the people who made this post are the same ones who have parties until 5 a.m. and throw discarded food and cigarette butts off of their balcony numerous times. As said above.... the walls here are paper thin. This complex is something that is what you pay for. It's pretty sad when people like me have to run a box fan during the wintertime just to drown out the voices of the six "perfect angels" living in a one bedroom apartment below.
