Bayberry excels in the basic areas of apartment living:
spacious (ours is 1120sf), functional floor plan
modern appliances (incl. microwave, dishwasher and garbage disposal)
decent insulation and soundproofing
responsive staff and maintenance
good, safe neighborhood
central air
your own full size washer and dryer
You won't find a gym, swimming pool, children's playground or clubhouse. So it's not ideal for people who like the social, community activity lifestyle. They do have a tennis court, however.
If you have a pet, they only allow cats.
It's not perfect, so I will point out the negatives (all of which I consider minor):
Depending on the building location, sometimes it's hard to find a close parking space
guest bath is more spacious than master bath
their after 10pm quiet policy includes not running the dishwasher, washer or dryer (some might consider this to be a plus)
Bayberry is one of the most expensive apartments on the west side of Grand Rapids, but is the best for people who want a great apartment, peace and quiet, and who want to live on the west side of Grand Rapids.
