I've been here 2 years and I've stayed here simply due to it's location to school and work as well as the hastle of moving.
The internet NEVER WORKS here. They recently installed a new system.....worse than before!! Parking is great...there is pleanty of parking at all times. The cardio room is servicable but as far as weight training.....sucks! Heating bills also suck I pay aroundd 120/month during the winter months which is a ton for the size of my apartment. The maintenance crew (one guy basically) is great, he is very helpful and one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. The management is ALL talk, they make many promises and deliver rarely. Prepair to be surrounded by spiders whenever the ground is without snow....no big deal to me but if you don't like them this will be a challenge for you. Walls and floors/ceiling are paper thin and floors are creeky as well. They do pay for a lot of stuff (internet, cable, water, trash) but the heating and electric make up for most of it. Worst part is the constant fire alarms going off......about once a month or more...it's always at night too.
Overall I'd give it a 5/10....I've never been mugged/raped/robbed etc. so that's gotta' be worth something. bYr9ljUwtCbMRXE8dRDC

FINALLY!!! Someone who tells it like it is!! This is pretty much the very same stuff I experienced 10 years ago. Although....back then, we had to do our own cable and our own internet (which, back then, was dial-up!! LOL).
You WILL hear your neighbor if they like to have fun (or listen to loud music...have company...., etc). They are thin!
Fire alarms! YES!!!! They were frequent back then, too....at night. I was on the 4th floor and it was terrible. (Sucked hauling groceries up those stairs, too! hahahaha)
But management..DING DING DING. You hit it on the head. Even 10 years later things never change.

Welllll... maybe its just me and you with the internet thing! I call at least once a week.. sooo frustrating. They don't do anything. She says.. yeah, I'll call the IT guy and ask him about it, and I hear nothing. They keep saying that I'm the only one with the internet problem. grrr... apparently not! lol Other than that, and the stupid gate that ALWAYS takes forever to open, everything is ok.

I happen to be the current "IT guy" for College Hill and I'm very sorry to see you've had problems with the Internet. Whenever I'm notified of an issue in a specific apartment, I've gone to the apartment and worked with the tenant to get online. I've been to at least 20 different apartments since April when we first started working with College Hill. I've always arrived within one day of being notified, so I don't know how you've slipped through the cracks, but I'm sorry to see that. There have been problems in the past, but we're hoping the changes we made on 09/03/08 will resolve the issues. It sounds like someone is responding to all positive posts in a highly negative way - perhaps someone is holding a 10-year-old grudge? Time to let it go.
