My roommates and I were thrilled when we found Foote Hills. It was in a great location and the staff seemed so friendly. We thought we had found the perfect place to live. Our year there got off to a good start, and was fairly enjoyable. However, every interaction we had with the Manager of the property, ----, was horrible. I have never been treated so rudely. Upon the end of our lease, we received a notice that we were not going to be able to renew it. When we spoke to ----, he would not give us an answer as to why. We could not figure out what the problem was since we had never received any notices or complaints. After speaking to him a few more times, he told us that they did not want college students living on the property. This would be understandable if we had been loud or destructive, but we did nothing to warrant the application of this stereotype. Then, when it came time to deal with our security deposit, we were attacked by him for asking simple, normal questions and patronized for not completely agreeing with any charges. As young females we feel discriminated against and taken advantage of by the manager of Foote Hills and would strongly advise against anyone who may be looking into living there. Dealing with everything that came from signing a lease with them has been no less than a nightmare and a huge headache.

I know the person that is writing this review. What the true problem is that the immaturity of this person really is showing through. We (the management) had to charge this person with damages that they and their roomates caused to the home. The damages include, the kitchen/dining floor was ruined beyond cleaning, light globes are broken, the carpeting is severly stained, the resident painted the walls and it took several coats of paint to bring back to original, blinds were damaged and missing, the appliances were a dirty mess and so on. I really do not believe that this is the responsibility of the property to absorb the cost of repair and replacement of these items. As far as the absurd comment of discrimination. This staff is fair and treats every person that comes in front of us equally, regardless of age, race, gender or any other catagory that may deem questionable. Our guidlines for qualifing to live at Foote Hills are the same regardless of who you are. You need to be at least 18 years of age, your income needs to meet or exceed the rent by 3.5 times and we are very strict on credit. I really think that these reviews need to be more closly monitered by the host for content and slander. It is obvious that the maturity level of this person has alot to be desired. You need to get out in the real world and think twice before you take actions like this again. If anyone is interested in seeing the cause of this faulty review, please feel free to come visit our office and we will gladly show you the pictures of the damages.

If the previous response is actually the manager of Foote Hills, it seems that responding in this manner may be slightly unprofessional.

but by the manager responding to this is means that he cares about his reviews and it makes the complex look a lot better. because after reading what they wrote its kind of hard to consider filling out an application with them if they are racist/ stereotyping people. so i think that this manager did an excellent job in responding to this complaint.
