trying to save money'

I am the cheapest person you'll ever meet. So when I saw Franklin Mill offering extremely low rental rates for a one bedroom apartment, I decided to give it a shot. Obviously you get what you pay for, but there are good points and bad points.
I dealt with a hot water issue for 4 months. At least twice a week I would not have hot water for the day. They appear to have this fixed now, but it took way too long. Other than that though, I really haven't had to call maintenance at all as things have worked pretty well.
You get what you pay for folks. The place works for young single males who are looking to save money. It provides me a place to sleep, a kitchen, and enough living space to make it buy. The apartments are definitely not pretty, the carpet can be somewhat banged up but overall I have not had problems with my neighbors, and the people that live in my building, for the most part, are friendly and amable.
I've found the staff friendly, but somewhat incompetent. They get an A for effort I guess.
In the end, I have decided to renew my lease for the next year so that I can continue saving money. I don't spend much time in my apartment so all I really need is a place to sleep and a kitchen to cook. Other than that, I don't need much. If you are looking for a nicer place, get a roomate and look at one of the higher end apartments in Grand Rapids.
