When I first moved in I loved it....but then you see the flaws. It's not terrible and I've been here 2 years, but I also would not recommend to anyone else. I stay mostly because I have a dog and they don't charge a monthly pet rent. If you have dogs, this is probably the best place on this side of town.
But don't be fooled, the parking situation is awful. I live on the end of a building and there have been numerous numerous times when I have to park a full building down. I have spots right in front of my end unit, but they are often taken by people who live farther down in the building. Management does nothing.
I suppose to be truthful, whenever something goes wrong is does get fixed quite quickly..........but then you might ask - what has gone wrong........
1. Mice - plural!! 2. Heater broke in the middle of winter 3. ceiling light (also non-conforming) fell off the bedroom ceiling 4. blinds fell off the window 5. numerous bees nests all around doors and garages
Again, those problems have been fixed - but they were also mostly within 9 months of living here and I was not pleased!
And when there are no spots to park - I can park in my garage - of course having to drive over trash left in there by others! (ex. beer cans, chip bags, and even a condom)
I know all this sounds quite bad - and strangely enough - I do enjoy my apartment. But I don't have kids and I like having an end unit because they have private entrances, no apartments above, and no apartments below. Also, because I've been here 2 years my rent has stayed a little lower.
Management is never any help. Plan on leaving numerous messages. But the maintenance department really does their job - I just think some of the things that need to be fixed shouldn't happen in the first place.
ALSO, maintenance will enter UNANNOUNCED even when you have repeatedly told them that is not allowed. And management does nothing, in fact it is because of management and their writing of shody maintenance requests, that the problem of unannounced entrances happens at all!
Again - I will not recommend this place to anyone and can't wait until I can move out. The problems have simply got worse and worse since I've been here.
And if you have a 1st floor - be prepared for flooding.
