I've lived in the ghetto....I've lived in areas of town where my car was broken into twice in a few months! But if you think Hidden Valley is in the ghetto, you need to re-examine your eyes or your perception. We rented this apartment after living in Atlanta, and we didn't even SEE it before we signed the lease. The manager actually came by on her day off when she noticed cars in our spaces to welcome us to Michigan, offered us maps of the area, and told us where we could find shopping centers and grocery stores. We have had absolutely NOOOOO problems with maitenence or with Brookline management. When we call to get repairs done, or to help get our cars unstuck from the snow, it is no more than an hour before they were here. We have been happier in this apartment community than we have in any apartment community, EVER. The community is quiet and peaceful, and only 15 minutes from downtown. VERY convenient and by far the safest I have been since I moved out of a house. The only thing I would criticize is the inadequate lighting in the parking lot (not a problem if you and your neighbors have their outside lights on) but the electrician told me that that problem is being fixed very soon. Seriously, I don't know what you other people have been hallucinating, but I've never seen anything but respectful, prompt service and a great apartment.

I know right. I totally agree with you. I think Hidden Valley is awesome. While everyone is busy saying that you must work for them, I'm busy wondering if those posters were evicted for parties, drugs, etc. Come on people be honest. It's not close to as bad as you say. Did you ever even live there? LOL come on!

I don't live there, but the place isnt ghetto even for Grand Rapids. This is the place right off east beltline right?? I don't care about noise and parties, but I do care about the quality and appearance of the exterior/interior of the building. I'm going to get a tour tomorrow.

I live here and hate every minute of it. I work for a living, unlike some of the sec 8 folks that moved in in the last year. I get up early, work all day and want to come home to a quiet home but that is not gonna happen around this place. Damn neighbors come in at midnight raising hell till 3-4am and by then it's time to get up, so there is no getting any rest around here. The management refuses to do anything about the noise even though it clearly states in the lease that it should be quiet after 10:00pm So i totally disagree with anyone saying this is a nice place to live.

I'd say I would have to agree with www.bill.com on those statements. They have been moving some crazy people in here in the last year or two. Numerous arrests for drugs and car break ins are now the "norm," to mention a couple of things. I have also noticed a large amount of dog piles that are left out in the yards. You walk outside and smell it. Welcome home to Hidden Valley...and no, I've never been evicted. Honest as they come, and yes, I do live there, Brandy. Have a wonderful day!

Just because you say this place isnt like the ghetto, you still shouldnt have to settle for less just because its better...you think that little of yourself..im paying money to them, so yes, they work for me.....
