We moved here in April of 1999. Of course HVT was under a different managment company then. I want to say Rockford, but don't quote me on that. Anyway, before the Dark Time, they actually had 6-8 maintenance people here. Things actually got done, like lawn care and even, dare I say it, gutters cleaned and trash picked up. I know, it's a dream. Well now the Dark Times are here. They have roughly 2-3 maintenance people now. Lawn company changes weekly it seems as does the AC crew. Our AC had been on the fritz for 5 years and counting. Why it was just filled last Tuesday with freon and now it's empty again. A whole 3.5 days. Let's see if they'll replace the 30 year old unit for $1,100, or...refill yet again. Trash DOES overflow here but there are other people who don't live here that use the bins. I've caught several of them and have the plate numbers. Also, lazy a$$ parents have thier 5 year olds take the trash out. Needless to say, they can't lift the top AND put the trash in being only 4' tall. Or God forbid, they can't walk the EXTRA 90' to the OTHER smaller bin that is usually 75% full when the truck empties them out twice a week. Doggie bags were removed about 2 years ago. Dogs are out without a leash, but that compromises about 25% of the dog owners here. The other 75% are courteous and actually pick up the crap, literally. People speed through here and like most in Michigan, seem to think a red octagon sign means yield. There are to many kids in this area for that nonsence and it's been a miracle in our time here that no child has been hit. So, in conclusion, don't move here unless you have no other place to go...period. Oh yeah, we even have E.L.F's come out here now and then to egg SUV's.
