for a place that takes big dogs. And then expect a neighborhood that you'd find in rougher parts of Detroit. Drive by shooting, guns and fireworks being fired off whenever, cops on the premises almost daily, drug trafficking, gangs (boys, girls and adults), and an unusable playground. Oh, and did I mention the potentially illegal pricing practices' Just TRY to get the new tenant discounts...instead you'll pay MORE than the regular rate.
Nothing is ever fixed without threats of a lawyer or paying for it yourself and taking it off the monthly rent. Units in my section have mildew around the leaking windows, snow coming in around the window edges, major black mold problems in the bathrooms, and kitchen cabinets falling apart. Some stoves are unsafe to use, and all the units are in disrepair. Carports are close to falling down in some sections, dog owners don't pick up the poop, and dogs are running loose all hours of the day and night.
The ghetto moms call their kids horrid names, and a couple hit their kids so hard you can hear them OUTSIDE of their units, even with their doors and windows closed. Plan on putting 1-800-4-A-CHILD or the local CPS numbers on speed dial, along with the police department. Others accuse people of being racists without even knowing them and threaten violence if you ask them to turn down the noise, cars are broken into regularly, and our neighbor's have had several attempts on their units as well as their cars. Car stereos blare at all times of the day and night, and a lot of the troublemakers don't even live in the complex. The noise problem is so bad the police have stopped responding for noise complaints.
And forget getting the fire extinguishers inspected or your smoke detectors replaced. It won't happen. As soon as my lease is coming to term I'm SO outta here!
(To those questioning why post anonymously...retaliation is pretty common for negative feedback at this place)

Now that we're safely out of there and in a much better neighborhood, for those thinking it's about minorities, it isn't. I was thrilled to be a diverse community (especially as I'm multi-racial myself) when we first moved in and it was good until a few bad families moved in and their friends quickly followed. A friend that also lived there moved back to California where she felt her kids were safer. (Might as well be in the good weather if you're going to live in an area that encourages gangs.)
