These guys must really be disgruntled... I have been living here for four months and besides a couple of minor issues regarding a couple of bugs and the oven, we've been very pleased with the place. We found 1 live roach when we first moved in but after we told maintenance, our house was immediately sprayed and I have not seen any other bugs since. The oven took about two weeks to get fixed, which was irritating, but eventually it was taken care of also.

These people who post all this stuff about drivebys and shootings and fires are talking a bunch of mess. I think they are prejudice because there are alot of ------- american teenagers that hang out in the parking lots and such. If you've ever been in this part of town, answer me this, where else is there to go if you're a teenager and you want to get out of the house' Give me a break...

If you want a nice place to live, a lot of room for a pretty good price then this is the place for you. If you do not like ------- americans or other minorities then you should not come here.

Give it some time... I lived there for a year, there WERE numerous dumpster fires during the summer, there WAS a shooting, and there were MANY drug dealers arrested. You're going to love the way some of your neighbors celebrate New Year's! And no, those sounds you will be hearing are not firecrackers. They ARE gunshots. We had non-stop problems with management and maintenance. Like I said, you have only been there 4 months. Give it time.

While I'm glad your expeirence has been good so far and I hope it remains that way, I'd say you should wait and see before you pass judgement. I lived there for four years and had a horrible experience the last several. Given that you've only been there four months, you weren't there when there were the recent issues with shootings, etc. took place. In terms of your suggestion that people claiming these things must be predjudice against minorities, I beg to differ. I am ------- american (as you put it - I'm not sure why you felt you couldn't write it out) and my distate for the place has nothing to do with anything remotely relating to racism.

Things have gone downhill the last several years. BTW - did you know that the Plainfield Fire Department has given the place the *cute* nickname of "Crack Valley" for the numerous calls to deal with the druggies living there? Depending on the section you're in, start looking for mold and mildew problems now, and you should be seeing an influx of mice pretty soon. The mice are really good at hiding, but once the litters get more mature you'll start seeing them. The community police are by every evening and overnight, just pay attention and you'll see them crusing through.
