There are a lot of things I love about this apartment, and only some that I do not. I rarely hear my neighbors (although they are all pretty nice), the apartment looks very nice and I love all the windows and the view. I do have a large(ish) dog and have never had any neighborly-negativity toward her. The only negativity towards other pets I've seen is when the owners either a) don't pick up after their pets or b) let their pets run loose. The gas/parking/water/sewer/trash are all free and I only pay a small amount for electriciy. The apartments are pretty spacious (1000ft2) and you get an extra storage closet in the laundry room. When we first moved in our a/c unit was broken and so was our fridge... they fully replaced them both. The office staff has been very nice. I also love the beautiful lake and the fact that we can keep our boat out right by it.
The things I don't like. Although the apartments themselves are nice, some of the surrounding neighborhood may not be. We had both of our bikes stolen the first week we moved in. The goose poo is really really horrible on the north side... the south side does not look that bad. I avoid going out in the open spots because you always have to go through the whole shoe washing routine when you get back in. The apartment does not have a large community building, although it does have SOME things in their office building like a small work-out center. You do get a year membership to PowerHouse gym for $25. Also Being a family of three plus a large dog, the apartment is small to us. While being large for a smaller family, it's just not a comfortable space for all of us. One more thing I will add. I agree with another poster about the management (whatever company that was) We were accidentally a few (very few) days late on rent one time and we got all sorts of "threat" letters for eviction, and we had to pay extra fees. I thought it was a little over-kill for such a minor oversight!!!
