Pleasant place for people and pooches

Well, it's been over two years here now so I feel somewhat qualified to opine about Lamberton Lakes.
The Good
The staff is friendly, responsive and professional, but not standoffish. Billy is a credit to this place and his profession, and everyone does a very good job.
Included utilities- Having bought my first house at age 23 more years ago than I care to admit, not paying the heating bills, especially in this day and age, is a bonus (ditto not having to mow the lawn)
Apartments are spacious and the ability to paint the walls is nice...not that I've done so, I hate painting...
The tenants- By and large nice people here...no one I have met has been a jerk and tenant bonfires, picnics, rummage sales and pig roasts are driven both by staff and tenant requests and actions....non-dog owners are generally tolerant (or better) of dogs as long as you don't have a wild hellhound misbehaving or invading other people's or dog's space....Not all, but most.
The lake, beach and open acrage- This is why I moved here, and it has been wonderful. My pooch gets a ton of exercise swimming, running, walking the nature trail and there are plenty of doggy play buddies of all sizes to be found. The "new dog policies" from the "dog meeting" in April' Well, IMO if you want to make the rules or don't like other people's, lobby to change them or buy your own property. While no dogs on the beach kinda sucks for me and my Lab since we used the dock a lot, it has IMO brought out a lot more kids and young families to the waterfront and a few more fishers..so we'll call that one a push so far, as there hasn't been draconian enforcement or fines (that I have heard of) against dog owners whose pooches unintentionally violate the "no dog zone" that are quickly corrected by their owner.
The Bad
Goose Poop. I know they are working on it, and the original proposed solution is an untenable huge chunk of $...but maybe getting a suction/bagger attachment for a large mower run across the grounds a couple times a week could help...something. Geese are attracted to big grass patches, and short of stationing an anti-aircraft gun out there (I have in my dreams...heh heh)they will keep coming back.
The Ugly- Nothing so far. Unless you count the night at the microbrew drectly across the street when I forgot that their beer is of the high octane kind...but that's another story.
LL is like most of things in life if you are lucky: Mostly good, some things could be better and it's trying to improve....positive experience thus far, all things considered.
