Make sure you want to move in!

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2005
After a quick decision to move I called Northview Harbor, they had a unit available, I filled out the application with a $35.00 fee online, spoke to one of their leasing agents Alysa, and within an hour had an acceptence. The agent Alysa said I could move in the same day. I went and signed the lease paid $100.00 deposit, and $126.00 first month lease (they had a $99.00 move in special, prorated for the extra December days to equal the $126.00) I walked out with keys, and went to see my new home (I hadn't even seen it yet), and not feeling like I had made a good decision. As I walked into the apartment my heart sunk, I had no idea how I was going to live here it was very tiny, and how I was going to afford it'
It took 1 day for me to realize that I couldn't do it. I called the leasing agent Alysa and told her I wanted to back out of the deal. She was shocked ask why and immediately put me on the phone with the rental manager Dan. Dan was totally rude, unsympethetic to my decisions, the reasons why, and told me that I had a signed contract binding me to a year lease. I ask him about the 3 days to back out of a deal he said it didn't apply to this, and that that would only apply to an application not a signed lease agreement. I argued my case and Dan finally said bring your keys back now, and I will see what I can do. He called me in-route, and said that he couldn't get ahold of the regional manager and he would not have an answer for me until the following Monday. I still turned in my keys to the rental agent Alysa and watched Dan walk past without a word being totally rude. I made an extra effort to appologize on my way out and again recieved a cool reception from Dan. Dan called on Monday, they would let me out of the lease, but they were going to keep all of my money. So get this right I'm not living there they have my money, and I guess that this is what you call an expensive lesson. Unfortunately what Dan and Northview Harbor don't know is that in the past myself, and 3 other members of my family have lived in Northview Harbor for many years. It shouldn't suprise anyone that we wont be going back, and wont be recommending them to anyone else.
