I thought I was moving into a great old building with personality. Great view. Dirty halls, stairwells, lobby. Drafty windows--don't live on the west side of the building in winter. Cold air will about blow you off the seat in the tiny john. Parking a nightmare--don't come home late or you may be on the street--or in a big pothole that takes months to get fixed. Watch out for pipes that leak into the walls--be sure you keep up your renter's insurance because you may need it. Not enough electrical circuits--can't run TV, lights, and microwave at the same time. Not air conditioned--extra charges if you put in window air. Great old building is being neglected to focus on selling condos next door. Oakwood is also supposed to go condo eventually.
