ok, i lived at old orchard from '00 to '02 with in the first few months i found out that they lease out the apt below me to low income and shelter familys. it is nice to help these people out, but come on, its a two bed room apt. not enough room for 6 or more people to live there. i do have to say in all the responses in this site i do have to agree that the matence crew dose respond quickly BUT you have to stand up to them! dont let them tell you that things are ok or fine and let them leave. the biggest complaint i have for this place is the noise complaints. i work 3rd shift the whole time i was there, i leave before 9pm and dont get home till 7am to find a noise complant on my door...now i live alone ok, even though i would prove that i was at work the office personal wouldnt even dismiss it. on the weekends when i was relaxing on the couch reading a book, i would get maintance knocking on my door to tell me to turn my music down. i would direct them to the apt that was noisy but they didnt care i would still get the letter on my door the next morning. i did get a few of them tossed out but i had to fight and fight with the office personal to get this done. i also had a problem with the kids running and playing in the hallways. haveing a pool was nice but it was so overcrowed with kids that at times i would head back to my apt. the parking was hell becouse of all the partying going on there. there would be time i would have to park three apts over. so for the two years i was there i didnt have any problems with my apt since i was on the third floor...if your on the bottom floor i guess your just asking for flooding since most are below the ground line..and if your on the second floor your going to have people stomping on your ceiling...so in all stand up for your rights at the complex your looking at and ask as many questions about it from freinds and people that live there before signing a lease..... thankyou
