i moved in late summer of '07. it has been absolutely horrible. the first night i stayed here my air conditioner was broke and they were rude about fixing it. they replaced it with a old used one that only works with the cover off which looks crapy. i told maitnene it froze over and they came over to my sweltering hot apartment and told me to turn it on. i proceed to tell him it had been on for the past two hrs and he argued with me and said it was fine. to this day it freezes over and works half-___. when you move in you give the office a list of things that are wrong and there were about 10 things wrong and almost a year later they only fixed three. i live on the third floor and it is required to keep your heat on 3 or above. well seeing as heat rises it is just too dam hot. you have to keep the slider open all winter. also the water pressure is horrible in EVERY apartment here. if you barely put the water on (filling ice trays) the lack of pressure sends a horrible honking/water hammer noise that the entire complex can hear at all hours. the parking sucks. i told the office that i had nowhere to park because the ppl across from me had 6 cars out front (only one car belongs to tenant) and they said that they are allowed to do that. this is a big issue here. also it is a regular thing for the pipes to bust here. a pipe broke in my building and it was the most retchid sewer smell every time you entered the building. the bottom entrance floor was flooded and to fix the smell....they spriknled salt on it. which of course it still smells. i wont even touch the noise issue hear...it's a party complex and the cops are ALWAYS here. one more disgusting thing that i know for a fact occours in all apartments is a watery brown residue that leaks all down the walls especially in the bathroom and kitchen. if you take a hot shower this nasty brown stuff will leak down and streak your walls. this is the worst place i have ever lived in and i definitley will not renew my lease.

Did this person actually test all 200 apartments for water pressure? I think not, She did not check mine. The parking is only for tenants so the "story" of the five extra cars is an apparrent lie, the maintanance people do a great job keeping abandoned cars out and uses a tow service to perform this duty. The pipe issue is bogus as well, they work on the pipes at times, because yes, this is an older complex, I think about 30 or so years old. But at least they are meticulus about getting this done and phoning the residences to be affected of a 20 or so minute water shutdown hours in advance. What about the streaming mold? It is called cleaning up after yourself to maintain a clean apartment, dudette. This is not a third world nation, we here in America clean for ourselfs and are grateful for a wonderful complex like Old Orchard. As a postscript, dudette, learn to spell, are you hooked on ebonics or what? GEEZ!!!

i live here and about the parking issue there has been a car parked outside my apartment for 6 months with a broken window and flat tire, this place is nuts.

Thats crap because when i first moved into my aprtment i took a shower and i know that streaking she is talking about. Thank Gosd i have good water pressure but she is right about the brown stuff i ahve to wipe my walls down in the bathroom every three days. I was wondering what that stuff was lol. She is also right about the parking im glad half of my building (the bad people) have moved out now it is one aopartment of weed heads and the rest are all working families. besides the fact he beats the crap out of her every few days my neighbors arent that bad i ahev heard fo worse!!!
