Old orchards is pretty good when it comes to location. it is close to dozens of stores and it is easy to get places fast. Other than that, the buildings are old and paint is flaking off the sides, the plumbing pressure is low, and the walls are thin (i can hear my neighbor walk around). I called management when i first moved about my broken towel rack, they came a few days later and when i got home and put a towel on it, it broke. I just went ahead and bought a new one. I have also gone through dozens of light bulbs due to the fact that their overhead lights are horrible. The electric inst so bad and there is free heat. Dont let them fool you though, the water IS NOT free. They told us this and a month later i get a water bill' The complex is safe though, and the complex inst to noisy. Qlkxv6lfLuuXn3BrtpO7

As a long time resident of Old Orchard I really cannot understand how sarbear9494 came up with this series of complaints. For instance, the bad electricity. I have light bulbs that have been in place for 4 or 5 years now and are still working. And no, they are not the energy saving bulbs now available. Perhaps the wiring was bad only in his/her apartment but this is a complaint that should have been brought before management. Like any problem I have had, it is either fixed that day or within a day or two. As to management claiming free water, that is nonsense. Paying for water and waste removal, each of which are priced nominally, is stated quite clearly in each tenant's written lease. If he/she didn't read the lease before signing it that is their own problem. Again, take it from this long time Old Orchard resident that this is a great place to live. rr3
