I signed my lease with Parkwood Apartments in 2005 when it was still being managed by RDI Management, who did a fantastic job up until the time when Joe Bruinsma took over and cut all ties with RDI Management... That is when things went DOWNHILL fast!

Now Parkwood Apartments is absolutely disgusting in every way possible and I want to warn any potential tennant from making a huge mistake by moving into Parkwood.

1.) The office is run by an absolute dumb BIMBO who I'd guess never graduated high school..if you don't beleive me just schedule a meeting with this moron and experience her stupidity firsthand. (She sent out a letter once in which she spelled 'which' as 'witch' and she also stated that the office had NO IDEA which tenants had carports so we'd have to come and tell them if we had rented one..WTF'')
I could go on and on..

2.) Maintenance is pretty much NON EXISTENT! You can NOT get through to the office (and there is no answering machine) so basically you have to fend for yourself.

3.) The grounds are awful and getting worse by the minute!

I do want to make it clear that this apartment complex is no longer being run by RDI Managment and has no connection with Bloomfield Townhomes (it was NEVER formerly Bloomfield Townhomes as the header states) It was simply run by the same managment company as Bloomfield Townhomes at one time. But no more...

I would not be surprised if this complex ends up being shut-down/condemned. Management is a joke and I hope all current tenants take a stand against this insane treatment and file a class action lawsuit against the current management, as I hear that they are NOT RETURNING ANY SECURITY DEPOSITS either.

Thank god I got OUT when I did!!

To any potential tenant of PARKWOOD APARTMENTS--I urge you to meet with the owner, and carefully consider what you are signing onto when you rent from this this nasty dump. In my opinion you would be making a gigantic mistake!

Yeah dude, I feel your pain! I sort of wondered if I was the only one who was appalled at the spelling/grammatical errors in the letters from the office - wtf! Unreadable and ridiculous. That girl Lindsey (who tends to show major buttcrack via skanky jeans) called my current landlord and screamed at him about how I'm the worst tenant ever and how he shouldn't rent to me (I complained about a leak and the girls who egged my place); he laughed and couldn't believe her gall. I did, however, get my security deposit back when I moved. But I went above and beyond to do everything properly (made sure the place was cleaned within an inch of its life, notifyied the office of new address within 4 days of moving out, etc.). Joe did wait to send my deposit to me until like 2 days before the "Ok, we're going to court" deadline, but still, he sent it. Reluctantly, I'm sure. If anyone anticipates a problem, give a call to the 62-B District Court and ask for the Landlord-Tenant division. They'll tell you what to do. Good luck to current and potential tenants! You're in for unpleasantness.
