The Worst Place I've Ever Lived.....

If you're in your 20's and like to party a lot, live like a pig and slam doors until 6am, then maybe this place is for you. If you work, your parents don't pay your rent and you have even an ounce of consideration for others then DO NOT LIVE HERE.

Let's start from the beginning. When I moved in, my apartment had not even been cleaned. The carpeting was stained and the bottom of the bathtub was black. The refrigerator froze all my food, the microwave had grease all over it..inside and out, the dishwasher had dishes and food from the prior tenant in it and the handle of the oven door came off in my hand. The kitchen floor was black. I scrubbed in 4 times and it never came clean. I'm not exaggerating and I'm not kidding.

I complained, very nicely, for two weeks. NOTHING. Finally, I wrote a letter to management....nothing for another week. So, I had to take an afternoon off of work to corner the regional manager. She had the nerve to be defiant and denied that the apartment hadn't been cleaned, etc. Anyway, the squeaky wheel gets the grease and I had a new refrigerator, new dishwasher and oven handle in a few days. However, no new microwave and it took an entire can of disinfectant wipes to get the grease off and out of it. They paid for a maid to clean my apartment and a service to clean the carpets. (which, in spite of being "cleaned" before I arrived, miraculously were clean afterwards! The first time must have loosened the stains up.) It was also brutally dry in there all the time. Every guest I'd ever had comlplained about it. I had a humidifier running non stop and it did very little. The kitchens are seriously outdated. The cabinets are gross, warped, particle board. Counter tops are permanently stained and beat up. They have put very little money into this place the past 15 years. Oh, and the walls are thin. I can hear my neighbors talking and opening and closing their cabinets and from December 06 to February 07 I was awoken NIGHTLY by the screaming, colicy baby of my other neighbors.

The common areas are more of the same. The punk kid down the hall smokes weed all day and the hallway reeks of it. He or one of his loser buddies vomited in the hallway in front of his door one Friday night. It was there until Monday morning. Doors slam all day every day. And its LOUD. As in wakes you up from a dead sleep loud. The last weekend I was there someone had spread a piece of cake all over the inside of the stainless steel elevator doors. Some guy on my floor always left his clothes in the laundry room for days...spread out over all the tables drying. No one cleans the lint traps. Someone spilled detergent in the middle of the floor...a basketball sized puddle, and just left it there. Oh, and the screaming babies...did I mention the screaming babies' Most of the tenants are college aged and they behave exactly as one would expect a bunch of college kids surrounded by bars to behave.

The parking structure is disgusting. Dirty and flooded most of the time. With all the construction downtown its impossible to keep your car looking decent because of the dust.

Ok. To be fair there were some good things. Location is awesome. Its right downtown. Perfect. Maintenance was also very good. After the initial move in, if I had to call them, my problem was fixed the next day. The people who clean the common areas do a very good job. (too bad punk kids trash everything) The building is warm in the winter. My furnace came on once or twice the two winters I lived there. 40 dollar electric bill.

I have not exaggerated. In fact, I'm sure I've left out some stuff. I am so glad to be out of there. This place is frat house. Avoid it like the plague. You've been warned.

I was a guest in this high rent crack house. Everything the tenent said was true. Everytime the air would kick in, I would wake up. Everytime the cupboards next door slammed I would wake up. The place smelled like fried Spam sandwiches. The stench would seep in from the hallway. The air was so dry I thought I needed an IV the next day. I rarely see my friend and I ended up having to take a 3 hour nap the next day. This was time wasted that I could have spent visiting with my pal. Ill never get it back.
