I am currently a resident of Prairie Creek and have lived here on 2 separate occasions. I have found for someone who is not really interested in life of their neighbors it is a good place to live. Any apartment complex you rent at will have their problem residents. Drug dealers usually make enough money to rent anywhere they want and can generally find someone who will put the apartment in their name anyways if they don't qualify. Don't be discouraged by the surroundings! The buildings don't look the most beautiful from outside but as the saying goes don't judge a book by its cover. The interior of the apartments is what counts. My apartment is great, it's clean and updated and spacious enough. I have an upstairs neighbor that I rarely hear except when they come down the stairs which is what you'll hear no matter where you live. Regarding the theft of stereos, I would also recommend to anyone living ANYWHERE, if you have a nice stereo and live anywhere in the world, 1. lock your car doors. 2. If you have valuables keep them out of sight. 3. Blasting your music is not a good idea when you pull up to your home (anyone who is not deaf can tell you have a nice system) TURN YOUR MUSIC DOWN-it will lessen the attention drawn to your vehicle and where you park and live!!! In general, apartment complexes are an easy target for theft of stereos, no matter where you live. In summary- I like my apartment, and am glad I chose Prairie Creek.
