It was too bad that it didn't work out with this apartment. It was spacious and we had quiet neighbors and a good location with view....

But maintenance and service for this place can only be called Poor at best! The carpeting at our door was nasty and ripped up, and it seems like we had issues with the fridge, too. But here's the crowning thing:
In the winter, the master bedroom was COLD! The heater was garbage and couldn't actually push heat all the way to all the rooms! We put a thermometer in the master bedroom and it was only in the mid to lower 50's. After several maintenance requests and no response, we asked the woman in the office if she could _please_ do something or we'd have to go to the city about it. She gave us excuses about it being a cold winter (Hello! We're in Michigan. When isn't it cold in the winter'!) but when we mentioned going to the city, she threatened my roommate's cats, saying they weren't on the lease, although that was one of the big reasons we came, because she said the cats were welcomed! Slumlord. So we had to bring a space heater into the master bedroom. After that, the end of our lease couldn't come fast enough.
